Rachel is the main character in this book. Dec 18, Pages Young Adult. Her books have been translated into more than twenty languages. While the outcome of the story is fairly predictable, Rachel and Miri have enough depth, morals—and flaws—to draw sympathy from readers and keep events interesting.

The only thing that gets this book two stars is that, rather than sticking to the done-before theme of teenager-suddenly-finds-out-she’s-a-witch, Mlynowski switches things up a bit and gives us teenager-suddenly-finds-out-that-her-younger-sister- and her mother -is-a-witch.
Magic in Manhattan 4 books. But so is dancing broomstickz looking like she’s bfoomsticks electrocuted, winning back her best friend, stopping her dad’s wedding, and finding a date for Spring Fling.
If only they would.
Maybe that’s what the sequels are for, but I don’t think that I care enough to read them. I know that sharing is important, but I don’t know what to say about this book.
BRAS AND BROOMSTICKS
I like how the author has Rachel constantly talking to you making it seem like you are briomsticks the story and experiencing the same thing she is. Buy the Audiobook Download: Their behaviour does not make sense from an adult point of view, but I can easily see any kid disliking their soon-to-be stepmother on pure principal alone and finding any excuse to demonize her. That was the general plot line.
Miri, who makes anal retentive, obsessive-compulsive list-makers look like chaos magnets, can now do just about anything she sets her mind to.
The fact that these girls are quite young and navigating this new world although Rachel is doing it though Miri made it even more funny because the problems they saw as so big were not nearly so big. nroomsticks

I was not a fan of the Ahd being such a liar and a manipulator. Nov 19, Amalie Luther rated it really liked it. Since then, Sarah has written four additional novels for adults: Rachel must be, without any doubt, the most selfish girl ever – But she does indeed have some hilarious thoughts about her life, boys and her friends – Such a great book, can’t wait to read the rest the books!!
Other books in the series. Got to the point where Rachel is plotting to break up her dad’s impending wedding with the STBSM by using her sister’s new found powers as a witch, and she’s also contemplating on how else she can benefit from this situation. Except she’s not the broimsticks who suddenly has magical powers. And as Rachel would tell you, spellbooks are “wasted on the young! Anyone in Salem home? She’s often a girl who broomstickw overthink like I tend to do, who’s rather confident and very much of a teenage girl stereotype.
Oh, the horror, the unfairness, the indignity! I think that Miri is a great sister, she really cares for her sister and would do anything to make her happy. Mlynowskis writing is so great. This book has been done so many times, with so many variations of the one simple plot structure: Rachel bothered me at times but the laughs that I had while reading the whole series made it all worth while!
Things which include, with a little bit of nudging from Rachel, giving her big sister a dancing-is-my-friend spell, getting their dad to break up with STBSM, and banishing pimples from their lives once and for all.
I think that Rachel is really selfish because she is using nras sisters powers to make everything good for her. Please consider giving this review a “Like” if you’ve made it this far, it helps me out a lot! There were 2 major hang ups for me, I started to get really annoyed by how self-centered Rachel was, but I was really happy that she realized that after all the drama happened which was broomstickx a little too much, because honestly how can someone come back from a humiliation as catastrophic as she went through.
