Every girl, besides Nik, is made out to seem like a brainless, boy-crazy-bitch. I keep changing teams!! It pained me to see Nikki realizing how close her best-friend, Jules and Jack became after she disappeared, and feeling the jealousy she felt because of it. There were also larger flaws that bothered me.
No cardboard cut out role brodj him. She lost everything to the Everneath, and six months is an incredibly short time when you know what you’re going back to.
