I went through the manual, it says in the differential mode it will work as 15 bit ADC.
ADC in 8051F060
Replied Jun 193: After setting the bit, you can use 16bit address as an input. If anybody worked on this microcontroller, please tell me how to get the sign bit.? How am I supposed to write to an datwsheet within the scratchpad memory when the input to the write function is of type UINT, which means I datashert only go as high as 0xFFFF, range from 0 to ?
What more do you want? What is the relation to from linear address to device address? Neil Do you understand the difference between having a sign bit plus 15 magnitude bits, and having a bit 2’s complement value? Thanks for your help.
It looks this is confusing. So the 16th bit will give idea about the sign of the bit.
I really dont know which controller you are talking about. Still going through the manual. What address parameter could I input to write to that scratchpad memory?
I am using CF microcontroller. But I am not sure.

Example codes are shown below We cant measure negative voltage in single ended mode. How to get the sign bit for the ADC output for the same.
Products Download Events Support Videos. The address is from 0x to 0xF as stated in the datasheet.
Neil “The 16th bit will be used for the sign bit. Replied Jun 153: But the datasheet says that the output x8051f060 is in 15bits for a differential mode. But I am talking about 16 bit ADC in differential mode.
But we cant use them independantly in differential mode. Read-Only Author erik malund Posted 3-Jul But we can in differential mode. Is there nothing Application Notes, etc available on the manufacturer’s website?
I am unable to get a solution what will be the output if the differential voltage is negative, since in my application both positive and negative voltage may come in the input. Neil Posted 5-Jul Thanks for quick reply. If you got an idea please inform me. So I think the 16th bit will be used as the sign bit. Neil Doesn’t the Datasheet tell you this? In both cases, a 1 in the “sign” bit indicates a negative number – but the way that works with the other 15 bits is different
