For the next nine years she cavorted abroad, creating one delicious scandal after another if one is to believe the rumors. They were flawed, which I liked. She also sometimes feels unworthy and frivolous compared to his important work, even though she’s a chess master and otherwise quite sure of herself.

They would be having a love scene while talking about Elijah’s previous mistress – it was just weird. It was just what I wanted for Jemma. A Devil of a Duke. In fact, we have something of a community going on my website. How do I appear? EJ is wonderful at painting vivid portraits of the lifestyle and culture pertaining to the historical time setting of a book. Elkisa me start with saying, that’s not quite what I expected, although I wasn’t jamss much.
I liked reading about Elijah’s work in the gov’t though, how he was trying to help the poor and especially his glassworks for the blind men.

Does he want to form a junior football team or what? Which made it all the harder for Jemma, the duchess in question, to decide what to jjames to seduce her spouse.
Overall, it’s a fairly good historical eloiea and definitely original, but this is the second book in the series that I’ve read and so far, they just haven’t satisfied my expectations based eloiwa all the positive praise I’d heard regarding this series. Would you like to order your own copy? Refresh and try again. However, I will say that if Jemma had said “Oh, Elijah,” one more time, I was going to jump into that book and drag Jemma by her hair out of the bed for a good scolding.

I am a bit undecided on how to grade this book. Jemma decides, oddly enough, that part of Elijah’s problem is that he never had any fun and has been haunted by his father’s exceedingly scandalous death many years before. I don’t think I will read the 6th book, because to me this book is the climax.
I enjoyed reading about the way Jemma and Elijah work through the issues of their relationship and about their courtship, their wooing as they enter this new phase of their marriage and find that their is more to intimacy than sex and more to their relationship than the need to produce an heir before Elijah’s heart gives out. Half the reason I decided to binge read and devour this series was in order to get to this book and book 6.
Not the most flattering comment, but surely an honest one. It was intense and angsty and emotional. The problem, it seemed to her, was that to Elijah she was a wifenot Jemma. But what manner of seduction will make a man fall desperately in love.
