This is a continuation of the book “Kilgannon” in which Mary and Alex meet and marry. I will definitely read more by this author. Not to say anything about the fact that after several miscarriages in a calm and safe lz, of course she will have a baby when she’s stressed and scared out of her mind.
From an early age, Kathleen was entranced by the history, legends and sagas of the people who mixed together to form Scotland, Ireland, England and later the United States. I wanted to read the second one because I wanted to know what happened and hoped that they would delve into the rebellion, etc.
Augh, I only pushed through so I could see the end and see where we would end up. Another good story by Kathleen Givens.
But overall very good read! Mar 17, Joan rated it really liked it.
The Wild Rose of Kilgannon
I liked the first one, but this was pure agony. Sep 25, Ashley rated it liked it. Just a moment while we sign you in to your Goodreads account. Kathleen loves to travel, read, and study history, which makes writing historical fiction a perfect career. What better backdrop for a love story? In the end, I think this would have been stronger had it been cut down to several important scenes and included at the end of Kilgannon. Given that Alex is imprisoned and the story is told from Mary’s perspective, kilgwnnon would expect that she would be filled with terror and distressed by her own helplessness, and maybe she was, but I never felt that in the story, unfortunately.
An excellent read as was the first book. The best parts of the book, again, are the secondary characters like Angus and Matthew. I really like the main characters, Mary and Alex, and so I could forgive the fact that in this book a lot happened while at the same time nothing happened.
Paperbackpages. But there is not a third book, and sadly the author passed away, s I really like the main characters, Mary and Alex, and so I could forgive the fact that in this book a lot happened while at the kilgamnon time nothing happened.
Jun 05, Kathy VanStaalduinen rated it it kiilgannon amazing. Mary goes kiltannon London to save him from execution, and finds that one of the judges is a reprobate, lyar and sexual pervert. If Kathleen Givens decides to write a third book in this story I will be buying it without hesitation. The characters in this book are great We had the same parting scene over and over.

El Rincon del Romanticismo: Kathleen Givens – Serie Kilgannon
Even Alex’s prison stay would have been more exciting. Villains and hero’s are well developed and believable. The series left her readers thirsting for more stories of the glittering streets of London and the misty Scottish Highlands. Kathleen Givens was born in New York City, but spent her early years living in the Northeast and Georgia before landing in Southern California at the age of ten. But there is not a third book, and sadly the author passed away, so that will have to be the end of the Kilgannon saga.

Vanessa rated it it was amazing Oct 11, Sequel is much better than the first of this series I was not happy with the first novel, Kilgannon, and I was only reading this sequel to satisfy my curiosity about the rest of the story.
Many of the scenes were highly emotional, but I expected Mary to finally rise to the occasion, but never did, even though it mentions her trying to control her temper again and again, she never let loose and let some of the characters have it.
I really like the supporting characters, especially Matthew.
